How could Stephenie Meyer (Twilight Author) allow the terribly disappointing...

like everybody else, she was waiting to see the outcome.
unfortunately it was no where near as good as the book, but yea there just isnt enough time to make something like that fit into two hours...

it did have so much potential, and I guess stephenie was anxious to see where the movie could take it.

to me, the movie felt rushed and too unrealistic, but maybe with a new director for New Moon, it will be awsome.. who knows?
 
...movie to be released? I have recently finished the first book (Twilight) - and Loved it!
The minute I put the book down I pressed play and watched the movie...and what an absolute let down it was!
How could she let down so many fans...? I am now almost finished all 4 books, and am worried that NONE of the upcoming movies will be any good-how upsetting :-(
 
You have to understand when Stephanie Meyer sold her rights to the movie industry, they had every right to add or take out certain parts from the book to create the movie. They owned the rights. This is why books are always better then the movie versions.
I am sure she could care less how it fared, she got paid some serious money.
 
How can anyone allow her to publish such terribly worded books?

Many honored writers such as Stephen King thinks her stories are good but her writing sucks, I promptly agree. Ive read um
 
She sold out. She gave the producers her book, and let them run with it, which, in retrospect, was a terrible idea. There were too many cuts, and the overall mood of the movie was gloomy. Its a love story, not a thriller, and the producers made it to be more of a science fiction, almost. Very unfortunate, the movies had such potential...
 
There was a lot from the book that was left out in the movie, but they do that with most books-become-movies. There simply isn't enough time to cover everything the book covers in one movie. It would have been two or three movies in a series just for one book.

Personally, I think the movie followed the storyline quite well in spite of the fact that they had to take so much out. I watched the movie before I read the book, though, and until I read the book I didn't understand the interactions between Bella and Edward.

Maybe I got the better end of the deal by watching the movie first.
 
First off they won't be good. It's a movie. A different medium so the story is generally altered to fit constraints such as time and money. There is so much in a book that a movie would have to be insanely long to contain it all. Even look at "The Lord of the Rings" considered one of the greatest movie trilogies. There is so much that did not go into the movie from the book and a lot that was changed.You must always take things with a grain of salt. Have fun discussing with your friends the differences and inaccuracies of the movie and book.
 
if it wasn't for the movie i probably would have never read the books so i look at is as good thing.

yes the movie isn't anything compared to the books but i feel like watching the movie first made it better because when i read the books it was just like getting a better insight on the movie.

so in my opinion the books are GREAT and the movie's great.

Id sya it was for the money and they pressure to get a movie of the book out there fast
