For indecent liberties with a child. He was 16/17 and she was 13, but she lied and said she was 16.
The guy is currently on house arrest. He was put on HA in March and court is in September. He has a past of drug possession and auto theft. (He's already served his time for the past crimes.)
He has a lawyer but not necessarily a good lawyer.
I know it's up to the judge but would it be possible for this situation? I want opinions, please.
IMO, it's ridiculous to send someone to jail over a crime they didn't know they were committing.
How does one go about changing their conviction? (I hope that's the right term!)
And if he's 18 when court is held and he goes to jail, would he go to juvie or adult jail?
