my dad is prescribed medications like xanax and methylphedid* (spelling is probably off) aka ritalin. my school performance has been average but now is lacking. i can't focus and i cheat alot. i was being tutored and i drew a ghost out of boredom. he gave me some to see if it'd help and it exponetially increased my intentiveness and i could focus. i think i have add/adhd but my mom disagrees. i don't go to doctors usually and am covered on her insurance but want to wait til 18 so she's not mad or can do anything about it. if i tell a psychologist this, would i get in trouble, and would they help me? i start college soon in a very competitive field and don't think i can do it with how i am.
how could i go about getting a prescription for ritalin?
