How could I create HTML that displays images from an XML file. PLEASE HELP =D?

I'm designing an image gallery for the first time for my first client and I need some help. I need to be able to create HTML that will display images from an XML file that my client can go in and add images to. I will also need to be able to edit the code on those images to add lytebox effects or other javascript perks. To start I just need a way to display the images basically, then I can expand and style with CSS and making things a little more dynamic with javascript. So first, I need the basis of an XML driven display of images, WITHOUT the use of Adobe Flash, just HTML, XML, and simple XML. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks in advance =D =D =D
