How come when my 1998 Ford Taurus stalls, it tries to start itself back up?

Whenever my Taurus stalls (ALWAYS while I'm driving), it seems that it starts back up. Also, when this happens, I lose my power steering and ABS. {BTW, when the power steering dies on it, there's VERY little difference from when it "works"). I'm just curious as to the reason behind this. I've replaced all the wires/electrical components, new battery, oil changes every 2 months; has 135,000 miles, new fuel filters every 4 months, new spark plugs every year (as they keep dying out that quickly). I'm afraid that I'm stumped here.

Power steering pump or rack may be what's dragging your engine down(more likely the pump). Is the steering fluid full? Do you have a leak? Take it to a shop or change it yourself. Fuel filters should be good for a year.
