How come when I plug my Sidekick card into the computer, the little box won't show up?

So I went to download music to my Sidekick and the little box that comes up didn't show up. So I went to Windows Media Player where my music is, and it didn't come up that I had my phone plugged in. I need help! What do I do to bring it up? Is it possible? If you can answer this, thanks.
