How come republicans always tell dems to to basic economics yet most...

...economist agree with the bailout? First off Adam Smith is not sole idea in economics and secondly Smith would be criticizing our monopolies -- The idea that economics is in complete agreement with republicans is crazy -- Republicans need to take a class in economics -- macro, not micro -- I think you get the 2 confused
If you asked the question do we need a bailout, I think most economist would agree but if you asked about the different parts of this bailout you would more disagreement
 
Hmm.. the WSJ stated that the Republican Bailout would do more than the one presented by the Democrats (the one that passed), Top economists agree that the Republican plan would have been better.
 
Some people have an economic philosophy that places short-term profitability ahead of all other priorities. Capitalism often falls into this trap. We should be carefully examining how our short-term plans affect our long-term needs. I don't think Republicans or Democrats are doing this well.
