how come my motorola backflip wont download anything off the android market?

whenever i try to download any new app on my motorola backflip, it will say starting download and it wont stop, ive had something saying starting download for about 3 days. This has been going on forever and i want to know if there is any way to get it back to where i can download things again.

If you know how to fix this,please answer.. also dont leave any stupid comments
