How come my fish tank isn't dirty yet?

I have two angelfish in a 3g tank. I am very aware that is too small, but they are still babies. When they start growing I plan to take them to school because we have huge aquariums in my agriculture class and my teacher has wanted to get some more angelfish. When I bought them I was told they wouldn't grow =/

Anyways... I was told that angelfish would make such a small tank dirty very quickly. There's no filter (the tank is round and too small for a filter anyway) and I've had them for about 2 weeks. The water is still as clear as the day I put it in. Is this normal?
 
Some of the waste the fish produce is clear but the fish are still being poisoned by it.
Ammoinia in siolution looks like water.
 
If you have any substrate in the tank any poop will have dropped down there and you won't be able to see it. Remember the most toxic properties in water are INVISIBLE! (ammonia/nitrites/heavy metals etc) How often are you doing water changes? I would expect very very regularly in an attempt to keep these fish alive!

Angelfish are pretty fragile these days as you've probably got some farm-bred ones which will be very delicate and sensitive to water quality.

I would get them to those bigger filtered tanks sooner rather than later or they'll be dead.
