How come my Blackberry Storm's browser isn't full HTML as promised?

I have a blackberry storm and I thought the web browsing would be just like the iPhones browsing- full html like a real computer, but it's not. Even when they show the amazon.com site on the commercial it looks like full html but when I go to amazon.com and every other web page I get the crappy mobile site version? Is there some setting to change or are they just liars and the web browsing on Blackberry's still suck?
 
I think they're just liars, I have the same issue with my blackberry now and no one seems to know how to fix it.
