How come I got a tampon lodged inside me now it hurts when i have sex?

The tampon got lodged inside of me, I tried pulling the string but it felt like it was caught on something. I sat on the side of my tub, the string seemed to be caught on something so i used my finger and it felt as if skin inside me was stuck around the tampon. I got it out by pulling and it hurt really bad. Now everytime my fiance and i have sex it hurts awful when he is entering me no matter how lubricated i am. What could be causing this?

idk maybe you left it in too long but you should definately bring this to your doctors attention and make a app asap. he/she is probally going to tell you to start wearing pads
