How come I don't get out of breath anymore when I exercise?

Everyone else around me in my fitness classes gets really out of breath; heaving and having to stop for a rest, but I'm not out of breath at all. It's abnormal!! Even the instructor seems to look at me as though I'm inhuman for not being out of breath at all. I just stand there with my mouth closed unphased.

Also, when I started swimming last year, I struggled to do one length and felt so uncomfortable doing 1 length, despearately gasping for air whenever I could.

Now I can do bilateral breathing and breath every 7 strokes easily and could possibly even breathe every 9 strokes and do 4 lengths continuously without much trouble.

Incredible!

I never imagined this would be possible for me to do!

Last year I was exercising a lot but still got out of breath. Now, all of a sudden I don't get out of breath. I only running exercise once or twice a week and spend the rest of my time sitting in front of a computer. I do cycle every day though as a necessary mode of transport and I swim once a week.

I thought I had a problem with my lungs and breathing and now I feel like a superwoman. Even when I sit at my computer I feel like I have big lungs or something and can keep breathing in and in and in and hold it in for a long time and not panic.

Perhaps I am ready to go to the next level of fitness class (I'm in the beginners) to the intermediate class.

Problem is I'm still a pretty slow runner and my legs and feet don't feel able to take running very well so I don't feel ready for the next class up. My chest and breathing feels amazing though!!

What has happened to me???? Why aren't my legs and feet able to be as good as my breathing?
