How come Adult Swim isn't on Cartoon Network?

I live on the east coast, VA specifically. I have Cox Cable. I should be watching Family Guy on Adult Swim. Only thing is that children cartoons are on. Where is Adult Swim?! It was like this the past two nights as well!
It's been happening all week. All I see is some stupid live action crap where these kids do crazy stuff, a jackass knockoff.
 
I live on the East Coast also, and have Dish Network and Adult Swim is still on Cartoon Network. It shouldn't matter what type of cable you have though, channels play the same shows regardless of what kind of cable or satellite you have. There is a Cartoon Network East (plays shows according to eastern time) and a Cartoon Network West, in which adult swim starts later. Even though I live on the east coast, I still get Cartoon Network West in addition to the other. Make sure you're on the right channel.
