How come a lot of Ancient Egyptian sculptures have their noses smashed in?

It's like 9/10 Ancient Egypt sculptures I see on TV, Internet, or in a book has their nose smashed like Spinx. WTF. Why was this done and why? How come you don't see any Greek or Roman stuff ruined like this. It's a shame.

Because it looked like someone took something and smashed it with force...
