how can you tell if your nose is broken

sometimes it IS kind of 'visable" with like a 'hump' on the outside area(on the nose itself) that would also tend to include the outter parts since this IS where the actual bone is? the rest is very thick but solid cartiledge type of stuff. but the absolute best way to really best define ANY actual break in most bones would really be with a very simple set of x rays done to know for certain. any breathing problems thru the nose at all? why do you think you may have broken your nose? what actually happened to it?
