Well for one the 2JZGTE is the stock twin turbo supra. So if it has a turbo that's a dead give away. Second of all, if you really want to check, look at the cars engine plate. It will say the type of engine the car has on there.
There is no real way to tell by looking at a supra's externals if it has a 2JZGE or a 2JZGTE because the intercooler on the 2JZGTE model is a side mount so it can't be seen through the front bar. And there is no external differences between the nonturbo and turbo models.
If the supra is a 'stock twin turbo mk4 toyota supra' that means it is the 2JZGTE engine. But they [the 2JZGE and the 2JZGTE] are the exact same engine except for the fact the 2JZGTE has turboes.
