Most manufacturers are seeking ways to lower the centre of gravity of their vehicles. Subaru did a complete redesign of some of their models last year and lowered the engines in them to facilitate this. FORD - GM and CHRYSLER are continually developing their products to get the weight down lower in the chassis. And they raise quite a fuss when owners bring their raised vehicles in for Warranty repairs too. Most breakages are caused by raising the vehicle improperly which causes undue stress on the running gear.
Most truck accidents around here involve vehicles that have been raised. And the majority of those are rollovers caused by the abrupt avoidance manoeuvres that occur in an impending accident. The simple fact of the matter is, you can't change the laws of physics. Put too much weight up there and it WILL tip over eventually.
