My dad and I plan on hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013 but money has always been tight and we're trying to hang on to our house, but with my dad not working for six months we're worried we won't be able to pay the rent. Any ideas on how to save money, and would you spend more money hiking the Trail or staying at home?
