Just because you are brainwashed, it doesn't mean you are a bad person, or even a dumb person.
Nobody likes to believe they are brainwashed, so therefore nobody would admit it right off the bat.
I personally look back at my younger self, and what I believed, and I feel so goofy for not "getting it". It took me over 10 years, and I still feel residual effects of my prior religions' brainwashing. Like, what if I've got it all wrong. Then I think more rationally after a while. It really frustrates me sometimes.
I've talked to my mom, and she says it's God's way of calling me back. But I personally think humans are naturally superstitious creatures, it helps us survive.
She thinks the devil has brainwashed me.
But don't you actually have to believe something to be brainwashed?
