how can you get better credit with att?

Ok so i was asking my dad for an iphone for quite a while now ( 6 months )

then finally my dad said he has bad credit with att

so my question is, how can he get better credit with att, or uuhhh get better credit so maybe my dad can get me an iphone on att??
