How can transfer photos from my Motorola V3 on to my computer?

I have the USB cable, but when I plug it in to my Vista laptop, it installs the drivers and then does nothing. How can I transfer the photos/music from it to my computer?
 
Is there an option in your phone that says like "sync" or something? Try that if it doesn't work you can always send your pictures to your email and then saving them to your computer. Hope this helps some.
