How can this be on the internet?

This girl in Flordia is lured to a home and confronted by 6 girls and beaten while 2 boys stood outside and kept watch.
This made the news and the reason they did it makes me sick. It was over myspace gossip and talking shit, and they hoped by video taping the bating they would become stars on Youtube.

What pains me the most is that the video is being posted all over the internet

This is a link to it, I dont support it being on the internet but to back my example up with how horrible the video is and why is it being exploited.
If you choose to watch it please realize the only thing edited is the girls face and the last 3 minutes that apparently were to graphic to show.
Give me your opinion, shoudl this video be taken off the internet?
 
Well I have to say that I watched the original full length edition and it was horrendous!
The only good thing that has come out of it is that they were all caught with a 'smoking gun', a conviction is assured against all of those involved, the prosecution can use the original video without permission because it is already 'in the public domain'.
The beating aside, I find the blatant use of this video for advertising as disgusting as the beating itself!

By allowing this kind of thing to be posted on the Internet simply for the gratification of others, may well encourage others to carry out similar attacks just for the dubious glory of being on the Internet.
