30 years ago when my parents were kids, Radio Shack used to sell all kinds of electronic stuff, like parts, project kits, specialty radios, scanners, CB, and Ham radio sets. Nowadays they don't sell any of that anymore, and the store has become nothing but an overpriced Best Buy (and Walmart in many cases). 95% of the stuff you can buy at Radio Shack can be purchased at another larger big-box retailer (or online) for much cheaper. I was just looking at a 1982 Radio Shack catalog that my dad found when cleaning out the basement last week. It's really sad now when you think about all the good stuff they used to have that they don't anymore.
How can Radio Shack still stay in business nowadays?
