How can my parents send my bike to the afb I'm going to be at?

I'm soon going to basic next week and I'm trying to make sure everything runs as smooth as possible. One of my concerns was getting my bike from home. What's the best method about doing this? I heard that when my parents come to see me during graduation they can bring me stuff from home that I can take with me to tech school; such as electronic devices and clothes. Could they also bring my bike with them or would it be better to have them ship it to me? And if so, would it conflict with their shipping regulations? My recruiter said to just buy a new one when I'm on base but I put a lot of money into the one I already have.
