How can liberals in the US complain about the rich...?

...when they are so rich compared to billions of people in the 3rd world? wouldn't a hippies weed money be much better spent going to help feed starving children in africa? i mean if they want to spread the wealth, then why shouldn't it be sread worldwide? most of the liberals would end off poorer than they are now.
