How can I write a poem like Chaucer?

For my Senior English class, we have to write a prologue about ourself (Chaucer-style, of course...:/ ) and then a 40 line poem with 10 syllabals per line, and it has to rhyme and be in Chaucer's style. Here's
This is what I have so far for the poem-part, but I'm stuck:

The rainy day he burst into the world,
With great expectations, the gossip twirled.
To the Lady Luck a son had been born,
Carry tradition he must or face scorn.
Pressure surrounded his entire childhood
For measuring to Mom he never could.
When it seemed though he could never have luck
An idea had formed and shone through the muck.

Though only rumor, ‘twas something he’d do
Find the charmed clover, his wish would come true!
The place it would be lay deep in the wood.
Find the charmed clover, and do that he should
Gain luck unbeknownst to all in his land
And finally be worthy, clover in hand.

A feat it was, unlike any before
With defeat and failure forced to endure
Those three hardest years were burned in his mind,
When he met the child with the eyes most kind.
