How can i upgrade honda 2004 civic lx?

It has 150k miles on it and everything is pretty much stock. I was wondering what are somethings on the car that I can change my self at my house that dont require a mechanics assist. I know sufficient information to change certain part on the car. What are some parts I can change on the engine to make the car go faster. Its 1.7l and i put supercharger in it also that should get it to 1.8 or so. What other parts I can change my self that dont take much effort which will increase horsepower of the car to about 2.5 or 2.25. I want more HP on low end. Car is in perfect condition oil has been changed every 3k miles and transmission oil every 40k miles. My budget is anywhere around 100- 300. Less money the better. Also, i have a performance chip my brother bought for his BMW that he didnt use. Its 80 bucks off EBAY. I dont remember but it adds 10 to 30 HP I think. Should i use it on such low emission vehicle. I need experts on cars to answer these questions. Thanks
