How can I unlock my iphone?

I was updating i tunes on my PC while my i phone was connected to the PC. After the update, I cannot access to my iphone MENU and all am allowed to do is to make emergency calls. There are i tune and USB cable symbols on the screen. I have swtiched the iphone off and on several times but the symbols are always there. Please help restore my i phone
