I have a 2004 Dodge Ram SLT. I locked my truck last night with the remote Fob, and now the fob is broken (dog...). From what I understand, when you use the car key to open the driver's door, the alarm is going to go off. How can I stop the alarm from annoying the whole neighborhood quickly? Is there a trick with the key where you have to put it in the ignition and turn it a certain number of times?
The key is a normal metal key, no microchip.
I'm grateful for any advice, thanks.
I hope it doesn't go off too, but I'd rather be prepared than have to explain myself to the cops...
The fob is gone though, I mean, g.o.n.e. My dog, who I still love, chewed it APART. I've just heard somewhere before, that cars have a tendency to go nuts like that.
