A Art thou mankind? New member Sep 5, 2011 #2 Well, if everything keeps crashing, it means that the disabled core was disabled for a reason. There's really nothing you can do-- AMD sold you the CPU as an x3 for this reason.

C C-Man New member Sep 5, 2011 #3 There is never any guarantee that locked cores are usable, that's why the CPU is sold as an X3. In this case yours isn't. That's the situation about 75% of the time, btw.
