Google Chrome was installed by my mistake and after I uninstalled it the hyper links in Outlook stopped working. I get the message "The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Contact your system administrator". I am the administrator.
I have since discovered that the Chrome installation made changes to my registry. How can I change everything back to how it was without affecting the settings I had in place before Chrome was installed. I can work around the problem by reinstalling Chrome and then changing all the defaults back to Explorer. This fixes the hyperlink problem but even after changing the defaults to explorer, when I uninstall Chrome the hyperlinks fail again with the same message.
I don't want to use the reset available in the advanced tab of internet explorer options if I can avoid it as I will then have to set up everything again.
Can Google Chrome be uninstalled without leaving behind any of the changes the installation made?
