How can I turn off the "fade-in" on calls on my cell phone?

I have the Samsung Impression by AT&T and i hate that whenever somebody calls me, it always starts out at a low volume and fades to a higher volume. how can i turn this off? otherwise i will never be able to hear my ringtone until the caller has already hung up! please & thank you!
