How can I turn down Windows Media Player when somebody speaks in Ventrilo?

How can I turn down the volume of Windows Media Player when output is detected from Ventrilo? I know the Windows 7/Vista volume control separates by program now, is there a way I can write a program that will watch the output from Ventrilo, and if it starts making noise, turn down Windows Media Player, so I can enjoy my music and not miss any important pages? Thanks.
