Ok my older dog named Sammy is a really sweet dog ! But the problem is, he won't stay ! My mom will be coming home from work and he will be in the house and when she comes in through the door, Sammy just gets up and runs out the door and then I have to go run and chase him! He is a fast runner, and he seems SO untameable !! I overheard my mom talking to her friend about giving him away and maybe taking him to the pound for him to get killed !!!!!!! I promised my mom I would try my best to take care of him and make sure he doesn't run out anymore ! He's always been like this & now my mom has had enough of it. We found him on the streets when he was about 10 months old and we took him in. He's just a runner. My mom told me that if I take care of him better and make sure he doesn't run out, then we can keep him. I'm 12 years old btw & my dog is a boxer mixed with lab. Oh yeah and one time he got out and I went to chase him but then this woman came and said that he almost attacked her daughter (she looked about 20 yrs old) and blah blah blah. He is NOT a violent dog and I know that woman doesn't like dogs because she even said so. Sammy doesn't bite, but I think he just scared the woman more than it did the daughter. Sammy knows how to sit and stuff, but he just WONT stay . The second he has a chance to get out, he bolts out the door and who knows what he could do. PLEASE help !!! thanks a bunch
oh yeah and he barks when he hears the doorbell and we cant keep him in the backyard long, cause he will bark continuously !
