I just recently had my tmobile mytouch stolen from my desk at work. I've done everything i can think of to get it back. The only (possible) way of getting it back is if my police department (houston) calls tmobile after 72 hrs and asks where the location of the phone is. As you may have guessed, houston police department can be a bit lazy. They told me since i wasn't "assaulted" for my phone, it's not really a priority for them!! Anyway, I'm planning on buying another mytouch, but in order to prevent this whole mess all over again, does anyone know of anyway to track the phone WITHOUT getting the police invoved? Is there some sort of app or something I can download? Or have you heard of "Where's my Droid" - what is that?
(yes i know if you had weather or maps on your phone, it is GPS trackable-but ONLY by tmobile and they WILL NOT release that information to ANYONE WITHOUT A BADGE. So I need something that maybe I can track by myself.)
