How can I tighten the throttle cables on a 1990 Dodge Dynasty?

I own a 1990 Dodge Dynasty & I was wondering how to tighten the throttle cables on it. Whenever I take off it seems like I jolt being that it's pretty loose. I've looked on Google for answers, but still no help.
