Late 2008, I shifted from my pay-as-u-go plan to a monthly-paid plan. The new plan gave me a free cellphone and rollover minutes that I can use anywhere in the US. I have to pay additional for any calls outside the US but that didn't bother me as I rarely traveled overseas back then. In April this year, I accepted an overseas job. I've only been in the US around seven weeks in the last seven months, and now have nearly 7000 unused minutes. I don't anticipate being in the US again til fall 2010 so it's crazy to keep my phone but I have to pay $180 for early termination - not to mention the fact that I'll lose all my unused minutes. Is there any way I can terminate my plan without paying a penalty? I'm also willing to continue if I can use my minutes for calls outside the US. Would appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks in advance!
