It's about my best friend, she's a girl and though I've been through some rough times, she's always been there for me. I tend to 'scare' people away by snapping at them - I am maybe the closest thing to Bernard Black from Black Books - but she didn't care.
After an accident at work I was battered and bruised, my leg was broken and what not. She stayed with me my whole recovery period to cook, to go to the groceries, to do the cleaning and to keep me company. She refused any kind of payment even though I offered quite a nice amount of cash.
At the beginning of my recovery period I was very down and she was always optimistic about getting me back up to my feet. She tended to the animals and the garden when I was not able to do so, too. Now I want to repay her, but she sternly refuses all payment. What to do?
