How can I ship a mobile phone from India to USA ?

I have to send a mobile phone from India to USA. I went to my local post office & they told me that the mobile phone can not be shipped. Even I inquired in FedEx, DHL, Bluedart etc. & they also said that mobile phones can not be shipped. Can anyone tell me how do I ship it to USA ?
