How can I retrieve mobile number T-mobile?

Hi, I have an old phone with a T-mobile sim that I want to give to my son, I don't intend to top it up as I will be getting him a newer sim asap, can anyone tell me how I can retrieve the mobile number via the phone? I'm sure there is a code you can put it, but can't remember! Many thanks
