How can I reset the bullets in Word 2008?

A while ago, I wanted to make a checklist and decided to make that the default bullet style. Now, every time I try to do bullets, I get a check box and when I switch everything back to regular bullets, the indentation gets really messed up. How can I reset Microsoft Word 2008's bullet settings to the "factory defaults?"
 
Modify bulleted or numbered list formats
1.Select the actual list in your document that has the bullet format you want to change.
2.On the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, and then click the [Bulleted] tab for the list you want to modify.
3.Click the list format you want. You probably want the original default bullet, so just click on it.
4.Click OK
This is for Word 2003 but I'll bet it works for you too.
