How can I replace the keyboard in my LG Rumour?

so, i've had the lg rumour since June of '09. I'm on a three year contract with bell (which i completely regret getting with the Rumour). The complete bottom half of my phone (where the QWERTY keyboard, camera and volume buttons are) doesn't work at all. I have my neighbor's old Rumour (his screen was cracked) to use for spare parts, and I've tried to replace the entire bottom motherboard, but when doing so, it changes the phone's number back to the one he had (which is no longer in service) and puts all his information on my phone. Is there anyway I can just replace the actual keyboard, without changing the information on the phone? If so, what parts do I change?
