I need to know where to start on repealing a city ordinance that bans pit bulls. My dog Pete has lived with my father in Boonville, MO for almost 3 years. He is nothing more than a big lap dog. A few weeks ago I left the gate open and Pete got out. As with any other dog he went and explored. And again as with any dog he got into an argument with another dog and so on well he ended up in doggy jail and the lovely woman proceeded to tell me that I was lucky they didn't shoot him on the spot and as I had lied and said we were just visiting she let me have him back. If they find him again they said they would kill him. Please if anyone knows the first step I need to take to repeal this ridiculous ban please let me know.
Let me add this for all the jerks that want to keep posting... 1- my dog didn't hurt anybody or anything. 2- I never said it wasn't my fault, in fact I believe I said it was my fault. I believe in punish the deed not the breed. For my forgetfulness my dog should die? I would and always will be willing to take responsibility for my dog. My neighbors love my dog and they didn't threaten to kill him it was animal control. Get it right loser
