I know this may seem dumb to some people, but I think it's annoying to see that ".html" at the end of a url in the address bar. When I build a web page, how can I remove the need to use that?
Ok. For example. let's say I have a domain http://www.WHATEVER.com
and I decide to throw up a second page like: http://www.WHATEVER.com/about.html
If you don't add that .html at the end, the page will not load. But I see people sending out links all the time without the suffix at the end & the page loads fine. Shouldn't the browser simply know that that specific page is scripted in HTML & pull it up? Why should I have to add .html?
Does it have something to do with how I render the page in my editor? (I use MS Expression)
