How can I remember to eat healthy and exercise?

whenever I try to STAY on a diet, I can do it for like a week, but then I forget I'm on one and then I don't have any progress and I get even more depressed from being tubby. I can't wear my tennis shirt, my cute outfits I have because I'm so tubby and so self conscience from being so.
I want to lose a lot of weight before summer, and have a flat tummy.
How can I stay on a diet without forgetting and lose a lot of weight quickly? without going on an eating disorder or anything or nasty pills.
Help???
