I am 17 years old and do not live with my father (who has custody of me) or a legal guardian; I have lived with a friend and her parents for the last 3 years. We do not receive any financial help from my father what so ever, (he is a drug addict) and I am wondering if there is something I can do to help out with my situation.
I have considered emancipation; however, I can not financially support myself on my own, and I'm not really sure if it would be beneficiary. I also thought about child abandonment.
