how can i read my away messages on aim, but for my blackberry curve?!?

i have a blackberry curve and when i get on aim it's not like the sidekicks that you can read away messages
i downloaded a different version but it only shows under the peoples screen names away or available

where can i go to download a better version of aim for my blackberry?!
where i can actually read away messages.

help please.
