i got a goldfish from a fair. I have a fishbowl but i cant get to a pet store any time soon to buy dechlorinator. If i boil water for 10 minutes and cool it to room temp will it be safe for my fish?

that would just kill the fish how would you feel if someone boiled water and put you in it you would die and goldfish need cold water

It takes a minimum of twenty-four hours to stale water enough to become relatively safe to put fish in, and even then, the only thing that you've done is allow the chlorine to evaporate. It will still contain some heavy metals, chlorimine, and other harmful substances that most dechlorinator removes. Boiling doesn't remove any chemicals from the water, unless you're collecting the steam from it, condensing it, and therefore making it distilled.
