How can I put music on my PSP??

I did the USB cable thingy, but it doesn't work. I saved MP3 music on my memory stick, but when I go to music on my PSP, it says that there are no tracks to play. PLEASE anyone help me, give me some tips because I'm travelling and I want music and video on my PSP. don't wanna get bored
 
for music,
1. plug in your PSP and put it in USB mode.
2. open up your PSP mem stick on the computer
3. in the mem stick, there should already be some files in there [if there's not a MUSIC folder, then create one.]
4. from here you just drag and drop your mp3 files into the MUSIC folder [(Drive of PSP):MUSIC]
