How can I play iPod music in my car?

I have a 2000 VW Bug and from what I can tell I do not have the little plug in cord that the newer makes have. I have a custom Kenwood Stereo cd player that is added in. I really want to be able to play iPod music in my car and I'm kind of broke so if it wasn't that expensive, that would help! lol thank you so much for you help! :]
